The fawning news coverage is soul crushing for those who used to work in the industry. The media has always been biased, but it wasn’t that long ago when journalists would be mocked mercilessly by colleagues for even contemplating the gushing diarrhea we see today. It breaks my heart.
I am deeply suspicious of someone who goes from Indigenous-hater to Indigenous-lover (sorry for my extreme language interpretation) and from Senate-hater to Senate-lover and from left-wing-hater to left-wing-lover and from...
Judging from recent interviews, I can solidly deduce that Adler doesn't possess much self-awareness of late.
Seriously, the Kamala story is currently much bigger than anything Justin is doing - it’s much bigger news.
Speaking of news, I’ve been following you in the hopes of getting some. Seems a constant critique on the business of news more than anything news worthy.
Indeed. The purpose of The Rewrite is to monitor media and offer criticism where required along with praise (see reference to CBC on Canada Future party and tip to Blacklock’s). The aim is make journalism in Canada more accountable and, where needed, transparent. From time to time I will deliver news about the industry you won’t read elsewhere (CRTC regulation) but mostly this is going to be more like a weekly movie review of media patterns.
If you feel that Adler was influenced by his employer to give opinions and views based on a target audience, can we extrapolate that to all opinions and news presented by Post media?
In terms of the coverage for Harris, I can understand that it is disconcerting for many that there has been a boatload of coverage and much of it positive. We will see how things end up in November, but it is starting to feel like there is a wave happening south of the border. Any opinion given by a columnist (Coyne) is fair, that is what he is paid for, to give his opinion.
Excellent article. Just signed on as a paid subscriber.
Thank you!

Thank you for clarifying that.
I was obviously mistaken about your purpose, and do appreciate the perspective.
All the best.

As always, as always, Sir, well done.
